Only two days matter when you are reaching for a goal.
All training planned for this week finished, total 60 000m in the pool. A good distance, but still no reason to brag about it. The plan is to continue with 60km for the next 3 weeks while I’m working here, in northern Norway. And then advance further. The reason I say its not to brag about is that 60km last week, is no use, if the body only can take 20km this week! Average high distance in the pool is the key to success! So the answer is in the future.
When thats said, my body feels great, for having 13 400m today. And I’m very optimistic regarding next weeks training. For the next 6 months my plan is to eat, sleep and swim. You might think it sound crazy, and don´t understand how I can think positive with this regime hanging over my head, for a goal in the far distance. To make you understand better and give you a mental tips, I will share some thoughts on how I look upon my future months of training:
More accurately; there are no months that matter, in fact; there are only two days that matter;
«Because today you will do as planned, regarding training, intensity of training and sleep. You will NOT worry about all the days , with blood sweat and tears, lying between you and your goal.»
2. The day you succeed,
«Because the day you succeed should be in the back of your head every day, in fact every second of the day. Every day you shall visualize achieving your goal, feeling the warmth of your success. This is the only day in the future that matters, the light in the end, your dream coming true, and all days between today and the day you succeed are forbidden, they don’t exist. «
So never forget:
«TODAY and THE DAY YOU SUCCEED are the only days you shall focus on , these days are the only days in this world and the only thing you shall focus onn to reach your goal. Loose your footing on today and you will fail, loose the vision of you´re coming success and you will fail. The only way to success is with focus on today and visualization of succeeding day. Do no ever forget that. «
